Nagoshi promoted in Sega reshuffle
Yakuza and Super Monkey Ball creator Toshihiro Nagoshi has been promoted to chief creative officer at Sega.
Nagoshi, 46, was previously senior creative officer and general manager of Sega’s R&D Division 3. He has also been appointed to the company’s board of directors in a management reshuffle prompted by the retirement of Okitane Usui, formerly president, representative director and chief operating officer.
He heads up Sega’s Yakuza Studio, which was formed last August. Its first release was thirdperson squad shooter Binary Domain, which was released in the west last week, and it is currently working on Yakuza 5, which is currently without a release date.
