Bandai Namco Games has followed through on its intent to acquire D3 Publisher by purchasing over 95 percent of the company.
Headquartered in Japan, D3 Publisher has offices in Cambridge, UK, as well as in Los Angeles. The firm was the North American publisher of Digital Extremes’ Dark Sector and the recently-released Coraline.
Namco Bandai now owns 19,990 shares of the group. Each was purchased at $628, which values Namco Bandai’s 95 percent stake at $12.55 million. According to Siliconera, Namco Bandai plans to keep D3’s stream of budget software, yet it remains unclear how D3 will be affected by the deal.
