Completing its purchase of Atari’s global PAL distribution arm, Namco Bandai Games Europe has renamed the company Namco Bandai Partners.

One of the largest distribution networks in the world, it distributes titles from Namco Bandai, Atari, and other global publishers to territories outside of Japan and North America. From its 17 offices, it manages operations in 50 countries.

“We are very excited about working with all our valued partners in retail, media and publishing to grow what is already a successful distribution business even further as part of the Namco Bandai Games family,” said Jackie Fromion, company CEO.“With our committed and experienced teams of professionals around the world we provide a first class distribution solution, and we very much hope to see a growing number of publishers taking advantage of this. Our vision is to be a successful, attractive and profitable company as well as a great place to work.”

The news comes less than two months after David Miller, head of marketing for Atari Europe, advised that the distributor would “become a wholly-owned Namco Bandai games company soon, but this process requires time.”

With its international operations now completely subsumed, Atari becomes a US-only brand, publishing to retail and online under CEO David Gardner.
