Nintendo of America will be introducing new limited edition DS bundles beginning on "Black Friday" in the U.S., the firm said Tuesday.
A Mario Red DS with a prominent "M" stamped on the casing will come with a copy of New Super Mario Bros., while the Ice Blue DS will come bundled with a carrying case and Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day.
The bundles will sell for $149 starting the day after Thanksgiving, November 28.
The DS is still a high-demand item, with hardware consistently raking in big sales on a monthly basis in the U.S. In October, the handheld sold 491k units, beating all other consoles in unit sales aside from the Wii, which sold over 800k.
Nintendo of America EVP of sales and marketing Cammie Dunaway called the DS "the most affordable and the most popular video game system in this generation."
I'm afraid to see DS numbers this holiday... as I can't count that high.
No DSi in time for the holidays?

All you get is a camera and an SDcard slot... not really worth it..
You can't even play "homebrew" roms anymore, I know which system I'd preffer. DSlite everyday and twice on sundays.. with the obvious addtion of a M3 Real card to turn the little blighter into a PDA come mediaplayer :D
DSLITE 4 EVER!!!! Wooooooooooooooot !!
Not until people stop buying DS Lites in North America. The Japanese did, and they got the DSi. If people keep buying them, Nintendo has no reason to stop selling them.
