A number of high profile games have been given release dates by their respective publishers at the ongoing Tokyo Game Show.
Sony has said that PS3 racer Gran Turismo 5 will release in Japan on March 31, 2010, with American and European launch dates to be “announced soon”.
Meanwhile, according to a TGS fact sheet over at VG247, LittleBigPlanet for PSP will be out this December.
Nintendo’s New Super Mario Bros. Wii will launch in the US and Europe on November 15 and 20 respectively.
Ubisoft’s much delayed Splinter Cell: Conviction will finally hit Xbox 360 and PC on February 23, 2010 in North America and during the same month in Europe, GameSpot reports.
The publisher also re-confirmed that Assassin’s Creed II for Xbox 360 and PS3 will release on November 17 in the US and November 19-20 in Europe. However, the PC version of the title has slipped to the first quarter of 2010 to allow “a bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you,” Ubisoft said on its Twitter page.
We’ll update this list with any further notable release / delay announcements as they come in.
That's GT 5 and God of War 3 released on the same month in JPN. Should be a good month for sales...
Heavy Rain is getting released in spring (March, April or May) 2010, if it were released in March in JPN, then that would be a killer month for that region.
oh dear still no car damage on gt5?
Yeah as a driving simulator ie. setting up your car, the sheer choice of cars, and putting in lap times, you cannot beat GT. The handling and just how everything looks at 60fps is also spot on. More than spot on in fact; no other driving game seems to have come close and games seem happy to constantly employ sloppy unresponsive handling.
Unfortunately the racing aspect of the game is rubbish as is the customisation. As a massive fan of GT4 on the PS2 I was always left massively diaappointed that you either seem way behind or way in front of the racing pack. You felt constantly disconnected from the other racers, and the lack of damage meant barging people out of the way was not only acceptable but inconsequential.
I don't own a PS3 but this game doesn't tempt me to buy one unfortunately. The series seems to have gone stale. The only games that do are GOW3 and The Last Guardian.
Bummer on GT5 taking so long to come out. That is one PS3 game I am really looking forward too. I'm also looking forwared to Forza 3 for the 360 too, but something about GT series on Playstation that I just really like.
