Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch, the stunning collaboration between Japanese developer Level 5 and world-renowned animation house Studio Ghibli, has been delayed by a week in Europe and Australasia. It will now launch on February 1, instead of January 25 as planned.
The delay, announced on the official Namco Bandai UK Twitter account, was blamed on “logistics delays”. To compensate for the extended wait, a free Draggle familiar will be made available to download on launch day.
Disappointing stuff, especially given that the PS3 RPG was released in Japan all the way back in November 2011. Namco Bandai has, in fairness, done a fine job on the localisation, as previous trailers have shown.
We’ve played it, and our review is in our next issue. E250 goes on sale on January 17, and also features the Edge Developer Awards – a new, annual countdown of the top 50 videogame companies in the world.
