Nintendo has settled a motion control patent infringement lawsuit that could have resulted in ban on US Wii imports.
Last year Hillcrest Laboratories said that Nintendo had infringed on patents it holds pertaining to motion control technology and graphical interface software. The company sought to ban the platform holder from importing products that used its technology into the US.
But the companies have now informed the US International Trade Commission that a settlement has been reached, according to Bloomberg.
Financial details of the agreement weren’t publicly disclosed, while the terms of the settlement showed that Nintendo continues to deny infringing on Hillcrest’s patents.
