Embattled UK retailer Game Group will not carry stock of Kid Icarus Uprising when it is released next Friday.
Nintendo has confirmed to HMV that Uprising, the first 3DS game from Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai, will not be available through Game, Gamestation, or their respective websites.
While no great surprise – Game has already been left without stock of Nintendo-published titles Tekken 3D Prime Edition, The Last Story and Mario Party 9 – it suggest Game is no closer to reaching more favourable credit terms with publishers.
The retailer has failed to stock titles from EA, Capcom and Ubisoft in recent weeks, and yesterday Tecmo Koei confirmed Game would not be stocking Ninja Gaiden 3 or Warriors Orochi 3.
In Japan, Andriasang reports that Kid Icarus Uprising has this week received Famitsu magazine's 19th perfect score, with all four reviewers awarding it 10 out of 10. Uprising will be released in Europe on March 23.
