Oakland, California downtown built in Minecraft in 10 days
A collaboration between The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment, the Oakland Museum of California, and the Paradise Minecraft server has resulted in the building of Oakland, California in Minecraft. The building project lasted for 10 days, and project leader HuskerGirlKC organized the construction of the downtown area of the city.
The results of the project will be shown at the Oakland Museum of California from April 26-28. There, visitors will take to the server, where they will be allowed to build, destroy, or change whatever they want in the digital version of Oakland.
After the exhibit finishes, the team will work until May to get as much done of the city as possible, at which time it will be shown again at Maker Faire in San Mateo, California.
