Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin will be part of new downloadable content in EA and Pandemic's action game, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
Gamers will be able to play as the the two politicians. Footage on X-Play (below) showed Palin sporting a bazooka and Obama climbing onto a tank turret, fighting a grenade away from the enemy tank's pilot, and then chucking the grenade back into the tank's cockpit at the demise of the pilot.
The tongue-in-cheek game is set in 2010 in a war-torn Venezuela. It makes references to private military companies, oil-fueled wars and nuclear war.
Pandemic's Tom Stratton told X-Play that considering the game's close ties with real-world issues, "It only makes sense we inject the game with a spin on current affairs. The timing was too good to let pass."
No word on a release date for the DLC, and absolutely no sign of Republican presidential hopeful and war vet John McCain.
Maybe they're trying to be realistic? John McCain can't raise his arms above his shoulders.
