Oculus Rift creator Palmer Luckey to keynote Evolve Conference
Palmer Luckey, designer of the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the Evolve Conference in London next month.
Luckey, whose creation raised over $2.4 million on crowdfunding website Kickstarter, will give a self-explanatory talk titled Virtual Reality: The Holy Grail Of Gaming.
“I’m excited to be able to share my passion for virtual reality at such an influential and innovative conference,” Luckey said in a press release. “Virtual reality has finally arrived and as it matures, it’s going to change games forever. As gamers and developers, we have a lot to look forward to.”
Evolve takes place on December 11 at the DeVere West One in London, and starts at 10.30am. Edge Presents: Changing The Game runs from 8am to 10am, with sessions from journalist, consultant and Edge columnist Tadhg Kelly, and Hide&Seek development director Mark Sorrell.
An early bird promotion, offering would-be delegates a 20 per cent discount, expires next week; visit the official Evolve website for more.
