Ofcom investigating ITV following ARMA 2 mix-up

Ofcom is investigating ITV's use of footage taken from Bohemia Interactive's Arma 2 in its documentary on the IRA, Exposure - Gaddafi and the IRA, according to the Guardian. ITV blamed "human error" for the inclusion of the Arma 2 footage, described during the programme as real IRA film from 1988.

"The events featured in Exposure: Gaddafi and the IRA were genuine but it would appear that during the editing process the correct clip of the 1988 incident was not selected and other footage was mistakenly included in the film by producers," an ITV spokesman said at the time.

ITV is also facing a separate investigation regarding Aviva's sponsorship of drama series Downton Abbey.
