Nintendo has opted for a one card-one console strategy for its Nintendo Points. Users will not be able to transfer between their Wii and DS systems.
A graphic launched by the company was picked up by Siliconera, which confirmed that Nintendo will not operate an over-arching digital distribution system. As soon as a user makes a purchase with a points card, it is then dedicated to that machine, and cannot be used on a separate machine. In fact, given the local way Nintendo's shopping system operates, this is hardly surprising, though may cause some disappointment with consumers.
