US-based gaming service OnLive plans to offer film and TV content next year. In an interview with Reuters, OnLive CEO Steve Perlman says: “Streaming technology is available to anybody. We want to work with the studios. All of these guys want to offer content, we're just here to distribute."
OnLive launched in the US last year and allows users to stream videogames, with the heavy hardware demands taken care of by remote servers. The company began shipping its micro-console this week and announced a new Netflix-style flat-rate subscription plan.
Perlman added that "OnLive can deliver any experience that Netflix can."
