Persona 4 takes to the stage
Atlus and Marvelous AQL have announced that Persona 4 is being adapted for the stage.
The adaptation, dubbed Persona 4 Visualive, will star Toru Baba, according to Andriasang. The name of his character will change in each performance, with fans invited to submit suggestions for names. The event will run from March 15 to 20 at Ikebukuro's Sunshine Theatre.
Marvelous has previously adapted the Prince Of Tennis anime for the stage, and this is just the latest Japanese videogame to expand to other forms of media: revered director Takashi Miike is directing a movie based on the Ace Attorney series, to be released next year. Capcom's Sengoku Basara made its big-screen debut in June.
Persona is expanding into other videogame genres, too, with Arc System Works developing a fighting game, Persona 4 The Ultimate, due next year in arcades with console releases to follow.
