PS3 Sales Surge In Japan

The Japan hardware chart for the week ending November 28 saw continued strong performances for Sony systems.

PSP sold the most units of any individual console, while PS3 sales more than doubled to 68,840 compared to the previous week. The surge in sales is likely due to the launch of Gran Turismo 5, which debuted in the software chart at number one.

Wii sales increased by 13,416 compared to the previous week, while combined line sales of DS fell by 12,167.
