Sky's director of On Demand has said that the company would be interested in bringing Sky Player, its online TV offering, to PS3.

"I can talk generally about our desire to extend to any device that supports a good quality experience to project the content,” Griff Parry told VideoGamer. “The PS3 is clearly a device where that is possible. And so it may very well happen in the future.”

With the service having recently endured a problematic launch on Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Parry added: “Having said that, we're very happy to be working with Xbox for the time being."

PS3 currently offers access to the BBC's iPlayer in the UK, while move streaming service Netflix will debut on the console later this month in the US.
