Sony’s newly announced PS3 Slim is already in great demand, according to online retailer Amazon.
The console currently tops the site’s videogame sales chart based on pre-orders, and the retailer is limiting the amount of units available per household to five in the UK and one in the US.
“As you may know, this product can sometimes be in great demand, and there can be shortages of this product across the UK,” said Amazon. “In an effort to provide as many customers as possible with the opportunity to purchase it, we are limiting the total number of units that can be purchased.”
Sony’s new charcoal black PS3 Slim will sport a 120GB HDD and be available from September 1 in North America and Europe for €299 / £249.
