Downloadable applications for Sony’s PSP Go will reportedly be priced at 1, 2 and 5 Euros, matching the cost of those currently available for iPhone and iPod touch via Apple's App Store.
While official details have yet to be confirmed, Sony is said to be preparing to announce a revamped PlayStation Store at this week’s Gamescom event in Germany. Newly introduced PlayStation Store apps will reportedly include non-game applications and have a 100MB file size limit.
According to Pocket Gamer there's no news concerning the revenue split between Sony and developers, but the site speculates that the platform holder will match the App Store’s 70:30 split.
In addition, the report suggests that Sony has been sourcing iPhone developers to bring current titles to PSN.
PSP Go is set to release on October 1 in Europe and the US, and a month later in Japan.
Nice pricing model. As a gamer who allready carries around a DSi and an iPhone3GS, the only thing of worry is the "iPhone games on PSP" part of the story.
I would hate to see the handheld market go the way of its big brothers, with the same games on every console and just a handfull original exclusive games per year.
Original games for a single €?
Yes please.
Brainchallenge for 12th time?
Please..... No more.

Lol wants to rival IPhone but it has one major flaw, it's not a phone.... What's the practical excuse for this piece of tech? Erm none.
What £200+ fot that I can get a notebook for the same money! Might be a "clever" Sony ploy to sell more PS3 slims? PSP are garbage anyway sold mine after I finshed both GTA games for it, and GT fell of the radar.
Pricing the games 1, 2 and 5 Euros won't mean fuck all as the system is £200+, fuck that for a carry on, the system will bomb before it gets off the ground with that price.
Doesn't solve it's lack of sim-card slot...
OK. I promise that when we reach the 45th PSPGo article, I will stop bringing that up.
