Organisers reveal this year’s dates for annual “world’s biggest LAN party” in Dallas, Texas.
Organisers of QuakeCon, the bring-your-own-computer gaming tournament, have announced details of the 2011 event.
QuakeCon 2011 is to run from August 4-7 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The event is open to the public, and attendance is free.
As well as being the world’s largest LAN party, attendees will also be able to get their hands on Bethesda Softworks’ upcoming titles, and a host of other hardware and software firms will be displaying their latest wares.
Last year’s event was held at the same hotel, with over 8500 people in attendance to see Alexey “Cypher” Yanushevsky walk off with the Quake Live Masters Championship and a prize of $14,000. For more, visit QuakeCon.org.
