id Software's Rage has picked up five nominations for the Game Critics Awards Best Of E3 2010, followed by Dance Central, Epic Mickey and Portal 2 with four apiece.
The first game to run on John Carmack’s id Tech 5 engine and the developer’s first new IP since Quake in 1996, Rage was among the products to be nominated in the Best Of Show category. The others were Dance Central, Disney's Epic Mickey, Nintendo 3DS and Portal 2.
Publisher Electronic Arts received the most nominations with 15, followed by Microsoft with 11 and MTV Games with seven.
Xbox 360 products garnered 46 nominations, ahead of PS3 (39), PC (30), Wii (14), DS (5) and PSP (4).
The nominees (full list here) and the winners – to be announced on July 6 – are chosen by an independent group of 31 leading North American media outlets that cover the game industry.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves picked up the major honours at the E3 2009 Game Critics Awards, including Best Of Show.
