If you have an iPhone or iPad, it's now even easier to get hold of Edge. We've just launched the Edge app, which allows you to read and subscribe to our magazine through Apple's new Newsstand service, which has launched today.
You can buy single issues as well as take out three, six and twelve-month subscriptions, and browse our pages as they appear in print.
You won't need the new iOS 5 update to access us - you can find our free app in the App Store.
If you do have iOS 5, you'll also find us in the store you can access from your new Newsstand folder on your home screen.
The Newsstand folder contains all your newspaper and magazine purchases. Subscribe in the store, and new editions download automatically as they become available.
If you'd rather stick with paper, don't worry - you can subscribe to the Edge print edition here. And if you have an Android device, or want to read on your PC or Mac, you can subscribe via Zinio, too.

26Some kind of free sample to be able to check out how the software works would be nice.
Yes, it would - we're told that one's in the works: "they will be coming in the next few weeks". We'll see if we can't push that a little faster.
Truly fine content…The admin have a great information...I contribute to your skilled through.. I hope you post again soon. I am very pleased to leave a comment to this blog out there who put out really honest information.

Can existing subscribers see the content?
Sorry, but no. Your print subscription is currently separate from Newsstand or Zinio subscriptions. The machinations of each individual distribution system - Apple, print, Zinio - makes joining them up a challenge.
Just bought a subscription on Zinio - any way to transfer it / cancel it?
Why? It'll be the exact same content.
To those with Zinio installed, I would suggest moving to Newsstand. The download speed is better, the image quality is sharper, even when zoomed in. All in all, I'm thoroughly impressed.
Glad you're pleased!
Does this have a plain text mode like in Zinio? Thanks :)
So is the text actual text on this one? Or are they just page scans???
Just bought latest issue to check. Would appear to be actual text as far as I can tell = lower file size and better quality, so I'm happy on that front at least...
If the print subscription is separate to the digital version then I for one will be cancelling my print subscription. Other publishers offer the print subscribers free access to their digital content why cant Future?
I think they state somewhere that they are looking into "bundled" subscriptions...
Right on Darren.
The app is looking good but I have a concern… I downloaded the free app yesterday on my iPad and bought the latest EDGE issue. Everything's fine until I got my iPhone, downloaded the app, tried to restore the purchase and… boom… 'There's no purchases to restore'.
What?!
Please, don't tell me that I have to pay twice for the same issue if want to read the magazine in both of my devices…
Sorry to hear you're having this issue - we're looking into it.
OK, our tech team tells us that the "restore purchases" option is for transferring subscriptions to new devices. For individual issues, just tap 'buy' again - it will confirm that you've already purchased it and download at no extra cost. Let us know if any other problems come up.
It worked, Alex.
Anyway, I believe you should clarify this inside the app.
Thanks a lot.
As a Zinio subscriber, I would love to reload my old issues or at least continue my subscription on newsstand, since newsstand is much more snappier than this crappy Zinio app. I understand this would be technically difficult, still I hope it will be possible in the future.
Hi Alex Whiltshire,
I have just done what you recommended to arturo.
I have purchased in newsstand a subscription to edge for 6 months, went to the iPad and the subscription does not show. Reading here I then tapped on buy for the individual issue on the iPad and rather than confirming that I have already purchased this it has charged me again for the iPad version!
As you can imagine I do not wish to pay twice, what recourse do I have now?
Sorry to hear about that - as I said to Arturo, tapping 'buy' on a different device that's signed into the same iTunes account is for re-downloading individual issues. The "restore purchases" option is for transferring subscriptions to new devices.
Can you email our support at apps@futurenet.com? I really don't know if it's possible, but they may be able to reimburse you.
I will email them, the purchases were made using the same itunes account. So not sure what the issue is.
I already have a Zinio subscription, but I re-bought one EDGE issue just to compare.
Article texts do not appear to be straight page scans in either Zinio or newsstand, but the latter has much better quality screenshots. When zoomed in, Zinio shows some disappointing compression artefacts.
The few things the Zinio app has over newsstand is the ability to convert articles into plain text/instapapery/readability type format, reading magazines as they download and quite a few more back-issues.
I'm starting other magazine subs on newsstand, so it may just be a matter of reducing my digital clutter. However if Zinio improve the quality (or is this up to Future?) I might just stick with them.
I hope Edge will re-publish some old issues through Newsstand, especially the Edge Retro specials.
I haven't any word to appreciate this post.....Really i am impressed from this post....The person who create this post it was a great human..thanks for shared this with us.
