REDkit mod tools for Witcher 2 accidentally released, then pulled

Namco sues over Witcher 2 console publishing rights - report

For a brief period, the REDkit modding tool for The Witcher 2 was made available. However, CD Projekt quickly pulled the update.

According to community manager at CD Projekt Marcin Momot, the release was accidental. “We were running some tests on the website and it went public for a brief moment. Those of you who have downloaded the REDkit files – have fun – they are official so don’t worry! Also, feel free to use the instruction posted by Kodaemon since it’s legit as well,” he said on The Witcher 2 forums.

It seems that the accidental release is the full version of the mod tools, leading to speculation that it’s ready for release. Momot adds to that, stating “It’s almost here!”
