“Warner is pretty confident that they will get Midway – which will be an immediate boost to their portfolio. The deal isn’t done yet. Midway is still open to offers from other potential buyers – but Warner looks to be favourite to wrap it up. They look ready to put the money on the table,” a source told MCV.
Recent reports suggested that Midway owners and debtors have agreed on a $30 million target sales price, which would see 28 key employees receive a bonus if met.
A Midway UK rep has told Edge that the company can't comment on rumour and speculation, while Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has yet to return our requests for comment.
