Resident Evil 6 announced

Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield return in the "most ambitious, immersive and feature-rich" Resi to date.

Capcom has announced Resident Evil 6 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Due on consoles with the PC release to follow at a later date, Resident Evil 6 stars Leon S Kennedy and Chris Redfield in what Capcom describes as "the most ambitious, immersive and feature-rich" game in the series so far.

As the below announcement trailer shows, Leon finds himself in a small town with the US president, with Redfield in China, when a bioterrorist attack hits. No country is safe, and the pair fight back the infected hordes in locations around the world.

Head of R&D and global marketing Katsuhiko Ichii said: "Resident Evil 6 represents a giant stride forward in the evolution of the series. The development team, led by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, is working tirelessly to deliver the most impressive Resident Evil title ever both in terms of scope and production values. We are all genuinely excited by the title and cannot wait to share it with the world."

Executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi added: "From the outset the team's intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense singleplayer and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror. We are calling this fusion 'dramatic horror' and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers."

Looks like another brainless run n' gun shooter. Recently played the RE1 remake... for the twentieth time. That is how you do a RE game.
