Amsterdam-based Playlogic on Wednesday posted higher sales and earnings figures for the second quarter ending June 30, thanks to sales of games including Obscure II for Wii.
Q2 revenues rose 343 percent to $4.3 million, up from $1.1 million for the comparable quarter last year.
The firm said that Dragon Hunters for DS and Simon the Sorcerer 4 for PC helped drive sales. The firm released seven titles during the first half of its fiscal year.
Quarterly operating profit was $500,000 versus a loss of $1.4 million a year ago. Net profit was $300,000 compared to a $1.2 million loss in 2007.
Gross profit for Q2 was $2.2 million, up from $300,000, a 633 percent increase.
Playlogic expects full-year revenues to "at least double" compared to 2007, when the firm generated $10.1 million. Net profit for share is expected to be between 5 and 10 cents.
