Rockstar New England has reportedly cut “at least ten percent” of its workforce.

Kotaku sources claim that the Massachusetts-based studio’s entire QA department has been shut, and that a number of artists and other staff have also been laid off.

The staff let go were apparently offered "fairly generous" severance packages and help finding new employment.

According to the report, Rockstar would rather have all of its QA work carried out at a dedicated QA studio.

Rockstar New England was formerly called Mad Doc Software - which ported Bully to Xbox 360 - before its acquisition by Rockstar in 2008.

Edge has contacted Rockstar for comment.
