Sony Computer Entertainment has expanded its official licensing business, inviting third parties to create new PlayStation peripherals and accessories in a bid to “further expand the PSP, PS3 and PS2 platforms."
Third parties entering into a licence agreement with SCE will receive access to technical documents “necessary for designing and creating” products for Sony gaming platforms, and their creations will be able to carry an official licensed product logo.
Sony is currently developing a PS3 motion sensing controller that links up with the PlayStation Eye. It’s scheduled for release in spring 2010.
HEY... SONY, i need peripherals and accessories for my PS ONE !!! ...
D'you think they'll license my idea? It is kind of like one of those crappy TV-boy consoles, except it's a dualshock controller which plugs into the tv, and has a hard drive onto which it downloads PSP games from the playstation store. So basically, it's a PSP, except it has no screen and plays on TVs.
I have no idea why i shared this idea here. I randomly came up with it a few days ago while slightly gin-infused. If Sony are stealing it as we speak, note that it is IMPERATIVE that it is called a RodneyBox.
more plastic add-ons ahoy!
