Nintendo has just confirmed that Scribblenauts Unlimited on Wii U and 3DS have been delayed in Europe. They were originally slated for release this Friday.
Scribblenauts Unlimited was a launch day release for Wii U in the US. Nintendo has not yet indicated a revised release date for the Wii U and 3DS titles.
“We are sorry to announce that Scribblenauts Unlimited, a game developed by Warner Bros. Interactive and 5th Cell and published by Nintendo of Europe for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, will be delayed in Europe,” reads the statement.
“It has come to light that some changes need to be implemented within the game before we launch them across Europe. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon.”
We have contacted Nintendo for more information.
We awarded the PC version a 7 in our Scribblenauts Unlimited review in December 2012.
UPDATE: Nintendo has told us that Warner and 5th Cell are working hard on the changes, and that an announcement on the game’s new release date will be made soon. The new statement reads:
“Warner Bros. Interactive & 5th Cell are implementing some necessary tweaks within the game. They are working hard to make these changes as quickly as possible and we are sorry for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused. Further announcements for the European launch of these games will be made soon.”
