Second Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack Dated

Following on the heels of the record-setting Stimulus Package, the Resurgence Pack will launch on Xbox Live early next month. [Update: DLC detailed and priced]

Activision has announced the second batch of downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2.

“The second pack of new multiplayer maps from Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, will hit first on Xbox Live online entertainment network worldwide on June 3rd with the release of the Resurgence Pack,” the publisher said.

The DLC follows on the heels of the record-setting Stimulus Package of maps, which “shattered Xbox Live records” following its March 30 release. It was downloaded over one million times during its first day of availability and over 2.5 million times in its first week.

Priced at £10.20 / $15 and featuring a mixture of original maps and returning ones from 2007's Modern Warfare, the timed exclusive DLC went on to release for PC and PS3 in early May.

Activision didn’t detail the maps that would feature in the Resurgence Pack, its pricing, or release dates for other platforms.

The company’s CEO, Bobby Kotick, said recently that Call Of Duty map pack sales have topped 17 million units.

Update: Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has now confirmed that the Resurgence Pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20 / $15).

As with the game’s first DLC add-on, it will feature a mixture of three new maps (Trailer Park, Carnival and Fuel) and two returning ones from the original Modern Warfare (Vacant and Strike).
