Sony acquires Sucker Punch

The Infamous and Sly Cooper developer has become Sony Worldwide Studios’ 16 internal studio. Speaking to MSNBC, Sony’s Scott Rohde hinted that Sony swooped to prevent Sucker Punch falling into the hands of someone else. “I’d be lying if I said other groups weren’t interested,” he said. “The bottom line is, when you’ve got a group that’s been as successful as Sucker Punch, we want to ensure that we keep them in the fold. It’s that simple. It’s hard to find high-quality developers like these guys.” The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
