Sony Bravia TV Has Built-In PS2

New LCD model combines videogame console and television features, a sign of things to come?

Sony’s KDL22PX300 Bravia television has a PS2 built into the bottom of the stand and comes complete with a controller for the system and support for Bravia internet features like iPlayer and Lovefilm.

The 22-inch display, HD-ready TV retails for £199 and launches at the end of a year that has seen building momentum for services like Apple TV and Google TV.

It also features four HDMI ports and three USB sockets along with two ethernet ports.

In October we reported that a forthcoming set-top box, YouView, might be gearing up to introduce app-based gaming to UK customers. A recent report by TechRadar also suggested that an update to Google TV would allow users to download and run apps separately to the built-in Chrome browser.
