Sony has responded to concerns over the high pricing of downloadable games for it new PSP Minis service.
Early offerings for the service - which recently debuted alongside the PSPgo - have been no cheaper than the average PlayStation Network title and more expensive than their iPhone counterparts.
SCEA's Eric Lempel told Joystiq that publishers are responsible for setting the pricing of their games, and urged them to think “carefully” about the decision.
"I think they have to carefully look at that, carefully price their content," he said. "Minis was intended to be something a little different and we wanted to see a lot of different types of content through Minis. If it's not priced correctly, consumers may be turned off at the proposition and say 'I'd rather just go for this kind of stuff instead of Minis.'"
Today we published a feature taking a look at the Minis service, including our pick of the best games on offer so far. You can read it here.
