Soul Calibur IV Debuts at No1 in UK Chart

The title is the first in the series to hit the top spot in the All Formats Chart since Soul Calibur II for GameCube, PS2 and Xbox back in September 2003. The Xbox 360 version of the game accounted for 56 percent of opening week sales.

Nintendo’s Wii Fit dropped one place to No2 despite a 35 percent rise in weekly sales, while sales of Mario Kart Wii, a non-mover at No3, were up 25 percent.

THQ’s Wall-E fell two places to No4, while the publisher’s hardware-bundled Big Beach Sports moved up five places to No5.

Guitar Hero: On Tour, Wii Play, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Brain Training and Lego Indiana Jones rounded off the top ten.

I'm sure that Darth Vader and Yoda also helped.

I'll wait for Vader to become available on the 360 before I consider a purchase. Otherwise it can wait for my PS3 purchase either next year or in 2010 depending on the games and prices.
