Soul Calibur IV Leads Namco Bandai Top Sellers

As part of its quarterly results, Japan's Namco Bandai revealed the top 10 games for the nine months ended in December, with Soul Calibur IV leading the pack by a large margin.

The weapons-based fighting game sold 2.26 million units worldwide across Xbox 360 and PS3 during the period. The game launched in summer 2008.

The next closest seller was Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, released in June 2008, with 730K sold.

The rest of Namco Bandai's worldwide top ten sellers for the nine months ended in December are as follows:

  • Soul Calibur IV: 2.26m
  • Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit: 730K
  • We Ski: 590K
  • Gundam Mousou 2: 590K
  • Active Life Outdoor Challenge: 550K
  • Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3: 530K
  • Super Robot Wars Z: 510K
  • Taiko Drum Master for DS 2: 500K
  • Mobile Suit Gundam Gundam VS. Gundam: 440K
  • Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3: 420K

I guess that means in Soul Calibur V they'll be throwing in Batman characters or whatever is popular at the box office at that time...
