Splinter Cell: Conviction Leads UK Chart

Ubisoftís Xbox 360 exclusive takes the top spot as Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City places third.

Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Conviction debuted atop the UK all formats chart during the week ended April 17.

The title’s success means a Ubisoft game has now occupied the top spot five times so far this year.

The publisher’s Wii exclusive Just Dance fell one place to second, ahead of Take-Two’s Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, which launched for PS3 and PC on Friday. Rockstar’s game may have made a bigger impact on the chart had it not also released as a download on the PlayStation Network.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 slipped a place to fourth, while Wii Fit Plus was up two to fifth.
