4Square Enix: our E3 lineup was "almost humiliating"
Koji Taguchi, senior executive officer, said on Twitter: "Because we merged with Eidos and had games like Tomb Raider, Deus [Ex] and Hitman, as a company we were able to keep face. But the decline in Japanese titles was almost humiliating. This has been a week where I worried daily about how we can fix this." Square Enix's Japanese E3 line-up: Final Fantasy XIII-2.

4This is a very strange comment to make. Are they not actually developing japanese games? Could they not have shown VS XIII? Why is it humiliating if it's out of choice? If not out of choice, what imposed the necessity?
They should have started being humiliated around 5-10 years ago, when they stopped making good games, and started relying lisences to bolster their sales. You can't rely on Mickey Mouse or some FFVII character forever.
If they did a PS3 remake of FFVII in HD it'd sell by the bucketloads though!
If they JUST did a remake of FF7 be it on PS3, or Vita they would be the talk of the show. I agree with everyone's comments, arent they making FF VS XIII? They could have showed things off if they wanted to. I really do wish went back to their old selves during the SNES/PS1 era of taking chances with different genre's I understand game developement cost much more these days but I miss games liek Tobal 1, Einhander, and Secret of Mana. It's insane that Eidos is the big brand in that partnership.
