Half year financial results show jump in sales on same period 2008, but down 55.7 per cent in net income.
The Japanese publisher, and new owner of Eidos, reported that over the six month period between April 1 and September 30 net income of its entire business decreased 55.7 per cent from 6,054m to 2,683 million yen, while revenue from sales climbed from 67,974m to 90,561m yen.
Its games division represented the bulk of the company's sales rise, generating a net sales increase of 117.5 per cent year on year to 48,444m yen.
The performance was put down to Dragon Quest IX's vast sales of 3.93 million worldwide, Batman: Arkham Asylum's 2.63 million and Kingdom Hearts 358/2's 1.22 million.
Japan by far remained the company's main market, with around 73 per cent of its sales coming from the region, while north America and Europe held 12 and 14 per cent respectively.
