Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 dated

DSiWare Four Swords due this month; Kid Icarus confirmed for Q1 2012.

Nintendo has confirmed Japanese release dates for its 2011 3DS big hitters, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

Mario's first 3DS platformer will be released on November 3, with Mario Kart 7 following on December 1. Monster Hunter 3G, the expanded version of Wii's Monster Hunter Tri revealed last week, will be released on December 10. Also dated was Konami's New Love Plus, which will be on shelves on December 8.

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Tekken 3D Prime Edition and Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble are slated for winter, and Girl's RPG is also due in 2011. Kid Icarus Uprising will finally be released in the first three months of 2012, and Resident Evil Revelations is slated for "early 2012". Also due next year are Animal Crossing, Mario Tennis, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2, and Mario & Sonic At The London Olympics.

A 3DS-compatible DSiWare port of The Legend Of Zelda Four Swords, subtitled 25th Anniversary Edition, will be available from the eShop download service on September 28. The game was announced at E3 and will be a free download, though it will only be available until February 20, 2012.

The announcements were made at Nintendo's pre-Tokyo Game Show 3DS conference, where the company also revealed Monster Hunter 4 and a slew of new titles aimed at sustaining the momentum gathered since last month's price cut. We've contacted Nintendo to clarify whether the above release dates also apply to Europe.

As someone who bought the 3DS on release then sold it for £5 less on ebay 8 weeks later (I know!?). There is no way I will buy one again until the pitiful battery life and build quality are sorted.
The screen resolution is rubbish compared with an iphone. The 3DS just dosn't feel very good. I just want to continue playing Mario, Layton etc.. on a decently built handheld.

The build quality is just fine. In fact I've dropped mine a few times and it's just like new.
The screen resolution is no worse than the DS so I'm not sure how that stops you from playing games you supposedly were happy to play on the DS and you can moan about the resolution vs the iphone but the iphone also costs significantly more.
But even then the 3DS is on par with the PSP and iphone 3GS. The iphone 4 is on its own in regards to resolutions for something that small. Quite frankly I rather have the decent controls of the DS or PSP over the iphone but then again I want to actually play games rather than trolling the net.
