Nintendo has announced Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii at its E3 press conference.

A movie of the game was shown demonstrating similar physics to those featured in the first Galaxy title, new environments and abilities, as well as Yoshi.

Nintendo said in a statement: "This upcoming adventure for the Wii console marks the first time a second 3D Mario game has arrived in the same console generation. In the game, Mario rides his trusty dinosaur companion, Yoshi, to new stars and the fantastic worlds found there. This 3D platforming adventure provides longtime video game fans with a fresh round of out-of-this-world challenges in the style introduced in the critically acclaimed original. The game is planned for 2010."

You know, besides Forza Motorsport 3, Crackdown 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Splinter Cell 4, Modern Warfare 2, Final Fantasy XIII -- need I f***ing say more? No, but I will anyway: Metal Gear Solid: Rising which people wouldn't stop talking about, and not just one, but TWO new Halo games.

If you're going to piss and moan about Nintendo's press conference, at least try not to sound like an ignorant fanboy while doing it by picking on a flaw that the 360 is just as guilty of.
