The world's largest retail outlet, Wal-Mart, has been named in a survey as the most poplar place to buy games in the US.
Results from the IGN study show that 64 percent of respondents considered Wal-Mart for purchasing videogames. Best Buy and Gamestop both came in joint-second with 54 percent of respondents choosing their stores.
The survey also suggests that internet-only retail outlets lack an effective grip on the market, with a reletively small percentage of respondents considering shopping from Amazon (28%) and Ebay (24%).
The results were a part of IGN Entertainment's recent Are You Game study, a research initiative that received around 3,000 responses to its online questionnaire. The quantitative data was conducted in June by Ipsos MediaCT.
