Kim Swift, famed for her role in creating the widely acclaimed title Portal, has left the Half-Life studio to join Dark Void developer Airtight Games as a project leader.
According to Airtight, Swift will build and lead a team that will focus on the development of games aimed at a more diverse audience. “We are thrilled to work with Kim,” said Jim Deal, president at Airtight Games. “Her addition to the team represents a strategic move by Airtight Games into new and broader gaming markets.”
Swift has several years of game design under her belt already, having been hired by Valve straight out of college along with her project team to create Portal. Swift also worked on Left 4 Dead and its recent sequel.
"I've learned so much and had some amazing experiences at Valve," Swift said. "But when I heard I had the opportunity to work on innovative titles with my friends over at Airtight, I couldn't pass it up."
