As a result of this agreement Ditan will now be responsible for Jack of All Games’ receiving, packing, shipping and warehousing tasks, as well as any work related to these tasks. Take-Two believes this will allow its Jack of All Games subsidiary to focus on more core endeavors including purchasing, sales, and customer service.
Take-Two CEO Ben Feder said of the distribution deal, “Outsourcing non-core elements of our business will further enable us to deliver on our pledge to make Take-Two the most creative, the most innovative and the most efficient company in our industry. By working together with Ditan, we will enhance the efficiency of Jack of All Games’ operations, improve service to our retail channel and third-party customers, and reduce the level of resources required for our distribution operation.”
President and CEO of Ditan Ron Novotny added, “We look forward to contributing to their business by delivering the world-class brand of service that has helped make Ditan’s customers successful at retail.” According to Take-Two’s statement, Ditan is the largest third-party distribution company that currently services the video games industry.
