According to Enterbrain, the PSP was the bestselling system during the first half of 2008, shifting just shy of two million units.
Having first launched on December 12, 2004, a new Slim & Lite PSP was released on September 20, 2007.
The portable is currently available in seven different colors in Japan, while two new bundles will become available later this week. Japanese consumers have over 580 PSP games to choose from.
