[UPDATE: The Condut gets new US and European release dates]
Sega’s Wii exclusive first-person shooter The Conduit appears to have suffered a release delay.
When it picked up the publishing rights to the title back in October last year Sega announced that the game was “slated to release in spring 2009", but a new trailer now lists the title as “coming summer 2009”.

Sega of America and High Voltage have told Joystiq that the release of The Conduit has been delayed by two weeks, from June 9 (spring) to June 23 (summer).
The developer’s chief creative officer, Eric Nofsinger, told the site that the game's development hadn't slipped, but that extra Wii Speak testing and approval time was required.
A Sega of Europe spokesperson told Edge that The Conduit will now release in Europe on June 26.

C'mon Sega, you conduit, you conduit allllll niiiiight loooong.

Let's hope HVS doesn't change any more of their "confirmations" (motion+, LAN, and the latest dropping of 16 players to 12 players for online multiplayer). We still have no evidence that this game is going to run smoothly online as last nights multiplayer open house was an epic fail when Nintendo's servers mysteriously went down moments before the showing...
