The release of Sega’s Wii exclusive FPS The Conduit has been pushed back by two weeks in Europe.
While the High Voltage developed title will launch in the States on June 23 as planned, it won’t be hitting UK stores until July 10, two weeks later than previously announced, due to localisation issues.
The game’s developer has made numerous bold claims about The Conduit, with producer Josh Olson suggesting it will be both the best-looking game on the Wii and offer the best online experience on the system. The title certainly appeared promising when we previewed it for Edge 201.
The Conduit was also previously delayed from a spring to a summer release because it required extra Wii Speak testing and approval time.
Well the 2 magazine reviews on metacritic so far haven't rated it that highly though I am interested in another original Wii FPS as Red Steel was such a long time ago.
As for Wii Speak, I bloody hope not, unless you have the option to mute the buggers. I like my online gaming to be free of voice chat, such an annoying feature for the likes of me.
Hmm another two weeks extra. I guess I'm actually looking forward to this game!
I wonder if many players will use Wii Speak?
I'm not a big fan of speaking whilst online either. I know its slightly off topic from Conduit but I really think if someone wants to make some real dollars utilizing WiiSpeak then they need to target young girls. I know I'm generalizing but really this is the demographic that can spend a lot of time on the phone to their friends, if they had a game which they could utilize at the same time then I'm sure they would shift some units. I really don't know too many guys that spend any time on the phone with their mates, let alone talking online.
