EA’s The Sims 3 has taken the top spot in the UK all formats chart, having recorded the fourth biggest UK opening week ever for a PC title, behind the two World Of Warcraft expansion packs and Championship Manager 4.
The Sims 3 charted ahead of THQ’s new release Red Faction: Guerrilla, while UFC 2009: Undisputed slipped to third place, having held the number one spot for the previous two weeks. Wii fitness titles EA Sports Active and Wii Fit rounded off the top five.
Codemasters’ Fuel failed to crack the top ten in its opening week, charting at 12, while Koch Media’s Sacred 2: Fallen Angel and Square Enix's Star Ocean: The Last Hope debuted at 15 and 18 respectively. GSP/Avanquest’s Mystery Stories was new at 20, as was Koch’s Jillian Michael’s Fitness Ultimatum at 27.
