Artist Thom Ang, formerly of THQ and EA, has joined Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling's new dev house 38 Studios.

Ang will serve as director of art at Maynard, Mass.-based 38 Studios, and will work with fellow artist Todd McFarlane and author R.A. Salvatore on a forthcoming MMORPG codenamed "Copernicus."

Ang previously served as art director at THQ, and is credited on games including Monster House, The Sopranos and Tak 2. Prior to THQ, he was art director at EA LA, and worked on the Medal of Honor franchise.

His work has also been used in TV shows, movies, books, magazines and comic books.

He'll report to 38 Studios VP of creative development Scott Cuthbertson.
