Tiger Woods PGA 11 Supports Sony Motion Controller

Ryder Cup competition to feature in the upcoming golf title.

Electronic Arts has announced that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will feature The Ryder Cup and will support Sony's new motion controller.

The title's set to come out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and iPhone, with Tiger Woods representing the US team and Rory McIlroy representing Europe.

"This is a huge honor for me to be the on the cover with Tiger Woods as I grew up idolizing Tiger," said McIlroy. "The Ryder Cup has always been my favorite sporting event and the tournament is being played at The Celtic Manor Resort in Wales in 2010. Also, I'm hopeful to have an opportunity to represent the European team later in the year - it's all very special."

EA Sports courted controversy when the publisher refused to break its branding deal with Woods following media exposure of his troubled private life.

The company explained: "Our strong relationship with Tiger for more than a decade remains unchanged. We respect Tiger's privacy, we wish him a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the golf course."
