Ubisoft Shanghai’s Michael de Plater has been added to the roster of keynote speakers for the upcoming GC Asia Conference 2008.

The EndWar creative director's keynote, entitled The Whole Equation - The Creation of New IPs, will explore the role of creativity in games development, and address the question of how triple-A licensed projects can generate larger profits for publishers than mass-market titles for new platforms like the iPhone.

“With a solid line-up of top industry experts from around the world speaking about issues relevant to the games industry in the Asia-Pacific region, GCAC is a must-attend event,” said Jorg Zeissig, managing director of Leipziger Messe International Asia.

de Plater is one of more than 70 international speakers on the GCAC 2008 program, which also features keynote addresses from Lionhead’s Peter Molyneux and Crytek’s Cevat Yerli.

GCAC 2008 will take place alongside Games Convention Asia from September 18-20, in Singapore at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Center.
